为了更切实地加大对中青年肿瘤专科医师的培养力度，有效提高他们在临床肿瘤学领域的科研和临床工作能力，CSCO利用自身在国际肿瘤界的影响，经与欧洲肿瘤内科学会(European Society for Medical Oncology, ESMO)近两年的协商与筹备，CSCO基金资助会员赴欧洲著名肿瘤中心进修的项目将于2007年正式启动。该项目将从2007年下半年开始为2名申请成功者提供在欧洲的肿瘤中心为期1年的培训，进修的主要内容为转换性研究和2~3个月的强化肿瘤内科临床训练。
2007年度该项目的申请现已正式开始，具体申请条件、考核程序和培训内容请参阅以下说明：
Advanced Training Program in Medical Oncology in
European Cancer Hospital/Center
QUALIFICATION
1) CSCO member who Registered before December 31, 2005
2) MD or M.D. PhD
3) Previous training in internal medicine for 3 years and medical oncology training for 2 years
4) Fluent English in listening, speaking and writing. Candidates will be invited to an oral interview in English as part of the enrollment assessment.
The one-year training program will consist of the following areas:
1) Translational Research
2) Clinical practice under supervision in the last two months
Selection and Assessment Procedure
Applicants will be considered on the basis of academic standing, research interest, proficiency in English and individual merits.
1) CSCO selection committee will review all the application forms together with other relevant documents and identify appropriate candidates for interview.
2) Selection committee will interview the appropriate candidates in both academic standing and English level.
3) Information and qualification of the successful candidate will be sent to ESMO for endorsement.
4) Upon ESMO endorsement, the information will be forwarded to the specific cancer hospital (center).
5) Applicants will be notified of the decision by CSCO.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1) Download the official application forms (CSCO基金的"出国培训资助申请书"以及“APPLICATION FORM of Advanced Training Program in Europe ") and fill them out.
2) Prepare the documents below:
a. Copy of ID Card
b. Copies of Education Certificates (毕业证书及学位证书等), Professional Qualifications (医师执业证书，医师资格证书和职称证书) and Certificate of proficiency in English (eg. CET, LPT, TOFEL, GRE, etc.).
c. Recommendation Letters from two referees (one must be from the heads of department which the applicant is working for).
3) Complete the application form together with the relevant documents listed in column 2 and submit to CSCO Administration office by email and post at the same time.
4) Submission Deadline December 15, 2006.
Stipend:
1) CSCO fund will offer the successful candidate one time round trip air ticket of economic class.
2) CSCO fund will offer the successful candidate monthly allowance of USD $1000.
